Through the generosity of many donors, the Foundation financially assists congregations with many projects that help the Sisters enjoy their retirement years.
These updates and modest amenities make for a safer, more comfortable living environment. A few completed projects:
- Accessible van purchase
- Bathrooms updated for accessibility
- Furniture updated to safer options for older Sisters
- Power lift recliners for many of the Sisters’ bedrooms and public areas so there are places they can rest
- Computers and equipment, printers, scanner and internet access purchased. A computer help-desk staff member added
- Exercise equipment, a whirlpool tub, mattresses, and bed linens purchased
- Payment assistance to cover the caregivers who help Sisters with nursing care and other needed services
- Creation of wellness programs
- Elevators for handicap/wheelchair and bed accessibility updated
- Building upgrades such as roof replacements, plumbing upgrades, and energy-efficient windows
